Akwa Ibom Poly Pre-ND, ND (Evening) & HND 2014 Admission Form
Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua wishes to invite
application from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following
one-year Pre-ND and two-year HND Programmes and it Two-Year ND Programme[evening].
AVAILABLE COURSE FOR
PRE-ND AND HND
A) PRE-NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

Five ordinary passes in English Language, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and
one of Statistics, Geography, Economics, Commerce, Biology/Agricultural
Science in not more than two sittings. Five ordinary level passes in Maths and English Language plus any two of the following : Economics, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, literature in English, Commerce, History, Statistics, Geography, Government and one Science subject in not more than two sittings. |

(B) HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES |

The entry requirements into the Higher National Diploma in Computer
Science, Statistics and Science Laboratory Technology is at least a Lower
Credit pass at the National Diploma level obtained from an NBTE accredited
Computer Science, Statistics and Science Laboratory Technology Programme.
Candidates must have satisfied the minimum requirements into the National
Diploma Programme in Computer Science, Statistics and Science Laboratory
Technology and completed the one year Industrial experience. Candidates with
pass level in National Diploma in Statistics or Computer Science or Science
Laboratory Technology obtained from an NBTE Accredited Programme and who
would produce evidence of at least two years post qualification working
experience may also apply. |

(a)The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma
in Accountancy, Business Administration and Office Technology and Management
(Secretarial Studies) is at least a Lower Credit Pass in national
Diploma in Accountancy, Business Administration and Office Technology and
Management obtained from an NBTE accredited Accountancy, Business
Administration and Office Technology and Management Programme respectively
and completed the required one year Industrial Experience. (b)Candidates with Pass level in National Diploma in Accountancy, Business Administration and Office Technology & Management and who would produce evidence of at least two years post qualification working experience may also apply. |

Mass Communication obtained from an NBTE accredited Mass communication
programme and completed the required one year Industrial Experince. (b)Candidates with Pass Level in National Diploma in Mass Communication and who would produce evidence of at least two years post qualification working experience may also apply. |

ND[EVENING STUDIES]

Five credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent in Mathematics and any two of (a) Physics, (b) Chemistry and (c) Biology/Agricultural Science, the third subject of a,b, c above must be a pass. The two others from any of Economics, Geography, Building/Engineering Drawing, Leather, Tanning, etc; and pass in English language in not more than two sittings. Five credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, and three other subjects from Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Economics, Geography, Government and a pass in English Language. |

Five credit passes in SSCE or its
equivalent in Mathematics, and English Language, plus two credit passes in
any of Economics, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Literature in
English, Commerce, Government and one Science subject in not more than two
sittings. Office Technology and Management requires a pass in Mathematics. |

Five GCE ‘O’ Level or SSCE or NECO, NABTEB
subjects passed at not more than two sittings. The subjects must be passed at
credit level and should include English Language, A pass in Mathematics is
also required. |

Five credit passes in SSCE or its equivalent which must include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and at least a pass in English Language obtained in not more than two sittings. OR The National Technical Certificate (NTC) in electrical trade with credit passes in Mathematics, Physics and one other subject. Also a pass in English language is Mandatory. Civil Engineering Technology requires five credit passes in Mathematics, Physics and one other Science subject from Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science and two credit passes from Geography , Economics, Commerce and a pass in English Language. |

- A. All applications should be made by visiting the Designated Bank and making payment of N 5,200 (FIVE THOUSAND AND TWO HUNDRED NAIRA) and N 7,700 (SEVEN THOUSAND AND SEVEN HUNDRED NAIRA) for PRE-ND and HND Programmers Respectively and obtaining a PIN. (INCLUSIVE OF BANK AND OTHER CHARGES)
- B. Application should therefore be completed by visiting http://www.akwaibompoly-edu.net with the obtained pin to complete the application form not later than Saturday, 22nd Aug, 2014.
- C. All shortlisted students will be published online and will write an aptitude test on Saturday, 12th Sep, 2014.
HND Candidates are to:
- D. Attach 1 year Industrial Attachment Letter.
- E. Official ND Transcript to be sent to the Registrar.

- A. All applications should be made by visiting the First Bank PLC and making payment of N8,700.00 (EIGHT THOUSAND; SEVEN HUNDRED NAIRA for ND Evening Programme and obtaining a PIN. (INCLUSIVE OF BANK AND OTHER CHARGES)
- B. Application should therefore be completed by visiting http://www.akwaibompoly-edu.net with the obtained pin to complete the application form, not later than Tuesday, 25th NOVEMBER, 2014.
- C. All shortlisted students will be published online.
- D. Screening will be conducted in the School Campus on 25/11/2014 at 10AM Prompt.
- E. Bring along with you, original copies of credentials plus JAMB Scores.
